RIDICULE IS NOTHING TO BE SCARED OF
'Poster Boy' is a body of performances and installations which focuses on Heathcliff, the iconic male hero of Emily Bronte's famous novel; Wuthering Heights. The performance and installation, focuses on the many interpretations and manifestations , in various national and international television and movie productions, of the famous character.
For 'Poster Boy', I specifically focus on Cliff Richards portrayal of Heathcliff. Richards was heavily criticized for accepting the role, at age 56, in a musical version in 1997. He refused to let any critics attend the opening evenings and it was only at the end of the production that he allowed his reviews to be published.
