The history of the ‘rag & bone man’ is a precursor to modern-day recycling and in Any Old Iron, Kathryn replies to the call for our scrap with questions - about class, blame and whose voice is (and isn’t) shaping the conversation - with a new folk song.
Housed in a painted pile of scrap appliances which draw on the aesthetics of amateur dramatics, the song is broadcast into the gallery once every 10 minutes.
